tornado 562S και mandriva 10

έβαλα τα mandriva 10. Το modem pou έχω είναι το torando 562S 56k pci. Στο ftp του κατασκευαστή (ftp://ftp.allieddata.nl) βρήκα οδηγίες εγκατάστασης και drivers για linux. Το rpm που έχει το εγκατέστησα χωρίς πρόβλημα. Μετά όμως θέλει να τρέξεις και το hsfconfig, όπου βγαίνει το εξής μήνυμα:

Από ότι κατάλαβα έχεις double-cpu pc ή P4 with HT. Οι drivers δυστηχώς δεν μπορούν να εγκατασταθούν σε smp πηρύνα, αν θες μπορείς να βάλεις τον απλό πηρύνα χωρίς smp support.

ΥΓ : Το HT της Intel είναι σαν Multi-Processor.

αυτήν την φορά βρήκα το σωστό autoconf.h... όμως συνεχίζονται τα προβλήματα. να κάνω compile τον kernel? (τώρα κατεβάζω τον source)

ναι εγώ το έγραψα το /usr
στο /usr/src το μόνο που υπάρχει είναι ένας φάκελος RPM..
/usr/src/RPM/RPMS/ και εκεί έχει άδειους φακέλους
athlon, i386, i486, i586, i686, k6, noarch

ok, έκανα compile τον kernel (υποθέτω σωστά, πρώτη φορά το έκανα) αλλά συνεχίζω να έχω προβλήματα...

Χμμ αυτό φοβόμουν μη γίνει.. Έφτασες στο σημείο που ψάχνεις κάποια λίστα που απευθύνεται με τους συγκεκριμένους drivers, ή κανά support.. Εσύ τώρα τα έχεις κάνει όλα σωστά νομίζω..

ΥΓ: Με πολύ πολύ σύντομο ψάξιμο είδα ότι επίσιμη λίστα για τους συγκεκριμένους drivers δεν υπάρχει οπότε θα μπορούσες να απευθυνθείς στη λίστα του Mandriva.. Αν δεν σου απαντήσει ούτε εκεί κανένας, τότε παίζει καμιά μικρολεπτομέρεια που μόνο κατά τύχη θα την βρείς....

έστειλα ήδη στο support της tornado αλλά δεν βλέπω φως... ο τύπος μου φαίνεται ψιλοάσχετος. κρίμα.

Στη λίστα των users του Mandriva στείλε.. Εκεί έχεις τις περισσότερες πιθανότητες, αν και να σου πω την αλήθεια σπάνια έχω δει από τέτοιου είδους σφάλματα να βγαίνει αποτέλεσμα..

τελικά το μόντεμ δούλεψε στο περίπου με drivers από Linuxant... Καλεί αλλά δεν μπαίνει... το log file είναι
