• “Any alien who is present in the United States without being admitted or paroled, or who overstays the period of time authorized for their stay, is inadmissible.”
3. Reentry After Deportation (8 U.S.C. § 1326) - Reentry of Deported Aliens
• “Any alien who has been removed from the United States and thereafter enters, attempts to enter, or is at any time found in, the United States, unless prior permission has been obtained from the Attorney General, shall be fined under Title 18 or imprisoned not more than 2 years, or both.”
4. Alien Smuggling (8 U.S.C. § 1324) - Smuggling of Aliens
• “Any person who knowingly brings or attempts to bring an alien to the United States in violation of the law, or who knowingly aids, abets, or assists an alien in evading examination or inspection by immigration officers shall be subject to criminal penalties, including imprisonment.”
